Building Surveyor

Full Time- Up to £44,149

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, multi-disciplinary property and construction organisation delivering professional consultancy services to public and private sector clients. Based in Exeter, the organisation provides a broad range of property-related services, including building surveying, architectural design, M&E engineering, project management, and estate management. The Building Surveyor will join an experienced, collaborative team working across a varied and interesting portfolio of projects.

The role is based in a modern, open-plan office on the outskirts of Exeter, offering excellent access from the M5 corridor. The organisation operates a flexible and agile working policy, allowing home working alongside site and office-based activity. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a significant amount of site-based work, primarily across Devon.

  • Leading and contributing to the delivery of high-quality, client-focused services

  • Carrying out building condition surveys, schedules of condition, dilapidations, measured surveys, and planned maintenance
  • Undertaking defect analysis, including investigation, research, and preparation of technical reports
  • Supporting conservation projects, including material investigation, repair methods, and quality control
  • Achieving a fee-earning target of 90% and contributing to wider business objectives
  • Travelling to other offices and sites as required
