Manager – Early Years & Out-of-School Provision
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client, an established early years and out-of-school provider, seeking an experienced Manager to lead their nursery, pre-school and after-school club.
Your role:
You’ll oversee the safe, efficient and high-quality running of the entire setting.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Staffing
- Lead, support and develop the staff team
- Manage recruitment, rotas, supervision and appraisals
- Ensure strong safeguarding practice and compliance with all statutory requirements
Children, Curriculum & Safeguarding
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Oversee EYFS curriculum planning, assessment and a high-quality play-based environment
- Build strong relationships with parents and carers
Operations & Facilities
- Ensure the setting is safe, secure, clean and well maintained
- Complete risk assessments and manage day-to-day health and safety
- Liaise with the landlord and local primary school
Finance
- Support budget planning and financial management
- Monitor occupancy, fees and expenditure and report to the governing body
What we’re looking for
- Minimum Level 3 childcare qualification (essential)
- Strong leadership and early years management experience
- Excellent safeguarding and EYFS knowledge
- Confident in managing people, resources and compliance
- Proactive, organised and child-focused
