TLB Consulting is recruiting on behalf of an established property business seeking an experienced Lettings Manager to oversee its Penryn lettings operation.
You will lead a team consisting of two Lettings Agents, two Property Managers and an Administrator, taking responsibility for the department’s performance, service standards and day-to-day operation.
This is a hands-on management position for an experienced lettings professional who can support and develop a team while maintaining excellent relationships with landlords, tenants and prospective clients.
Key responsibilities
- Overseeing the day-to-day running and performance of the lettings department
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of Lettings Agents, Property Managers and administrative support
- Managing workloads, setting objectives and monitoring team performance
- Maintaining excellent service standards and strong relationships with landlords and tenants
- Supporting business development, market appraisals and the growth of the managed portfolio
- Overseeing the lettings process, including marketing, applications, tenancy progression and property management
- Handling complex enquiries, complaints and escalated tenancy matters
- Ensuring full compliance with residential lettings legislation, company procedures and industry best practice
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will require:
- A minimum of three years’ experience within residential lettings, ideally including some experience in a management or supervisory role
- ARLA Level 3 or an equivalent property qualification is desirable
- A strong understanding of residential lettings legislation, compliance and best practice
- The ability to lead a team effectively through coaching, mentoring and clear direction
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time, tasks and resources effectively
- Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills
- A commercially focused approach with the ability to identify opportunities for growth
- Confidence handling difficult conversations, complaints and escalated matters
- The ability to remain organised and composed in a busy lettings environment
- Competence using property management and CRM systems
- A full UK driving licence
Package
- Basic salary of £33,000–£38,000, depending on experience
