Registered Care Manager

Full Time- 40-50k + Benefits

We are proud to be working with an award-winning, family-run care provider in Honiton, who are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to join their team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a leadership role with real influence, helping to shape the quality of care, staff development, and the continued growth of the service.


The Role

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, effective, and high-quality delivery of homecare services. You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations, lead and support a dedicated care team, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

This is a leadership role where you’ll be directly accountable to the owner and to the regulatory body, with the scope to make a genuine difference to both the team and the people they support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and high-quality delivery of care services in line with legislation, CQC requirements, and company policies.
  • Lead, manage, and inspire the staff team, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management.
  • Oversee assessments, care planning, and risk management to deliver truly person-centred care.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and systems to support compliance and effective service delivery.
  • Promote the rights, dignity, and independence of all customers.
  • Handle safeguarding, complaints, and incidents, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Represent the business at external meetings and contribute to service growth and development.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in a Registered Manager role (or ready to step up with relevant leadership experience).
  • Qualified with NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards).
  • Passionate about providing person-centred, high-quality care.
  • Skilled in leading, motivating, and developing staff teams.
  • Knowledgeable in health & safety, safeguarding, and compliance within homecare.
  • Organised with excellent communication, record-keeping, and IT skills.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent/willing to work towards).
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards and domiciliary care regulations.
  • Full UK driving licence (max 6 points) with business insurance.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Desirable: Previous experience as a Registered Manager, “train the trainer” qualifications, or business management experience.
